Established in 2003, The Handrail People design, fabricate and install bespoke outdoor handrails, balustrades and grab rails. We can also supply these products nationwide, ready for you or your preferred contractor to fit if that’s your preference. Whatever the reason for adding a handrail to your home, we’re here to support you in maintaining your independence, confidence and safety whilst moving around your home and garden.
In addition to ensuring that our specialist safety handrails give our customers peace of mind, we work with you to ensure they are built to suit your individual needs and style, whether you want something that blends in or stands out. As a small, friendly family run company we pride ourselves in offering a fast, friendly and efficient service in the local area and surrounding counties.

Jack manages all of our projects from start to finish, he is likely to be the friendly face you meet when we conduct a site visit. Jack is son to founder Alan and director Catherine, and has the same passion for craftsmanship that his father had. He knows the business inside out. When he’s not in the office Jack loves hanging out with his 10 year old son, Alfie.
Catherine Andrews
Director
Catherine works in the office on a Monday and will be the person to greet you at the end of the phone. She’s the organisation hub of the business and helps ensure that we meet deadlines and most importantly that our customers are happy. When Catherine’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren and two dogs.
Ella Andrews
Marketing Manager
Ella works in the office, providing a friendly service on your journey with us from the first enquiry to arranging your delivery/installation. She’s our marketing whiz and works with a team to create all our latest campaigns and most importantly, she ensures that you have a positive online experience with us. When Ella’s not in the office she can be found spending time with her two young children.
George King
Workshop Manager
George is our workshop manager. He has an eye for detail and works alongside a team of fabricators, creating your handrails, and ensuring that every handrail passes our strict quality control process. You may meet George when we come to install your handrail. Outside of work George enjoys spending time with his friends and listening to music.
Shaun Whitehead
Fabricator
Shaun is our newest member of the team, he works part time as part of the fabricator team. Shaun works mostly on our wrought iron style handrails with precision and more recently our grab rails and self-assembly handrails which are available to buy on our wesbite. When Shaun’s not at work he enjoys taking time out in his caravan and spending time outdoors.
Cade Charville
Fabricator
Cade has been with us for a few years now, he started off as a fabrication novice and now works confidently on creating your stainless steel and tubular handrails. You might meet Cade when we come to install or on a site visit. When Cade’s not at work he loves spending time with his baby daughter, Violet.
Pavel Levin
Fabricator
Pavel is the last member of the fabrication team working full time on creating beautiful balustrades and handrails. Pavel is the mastermind behind handrail drawings in CAD on request and has years of experience in fabrication and welding. When Pavel is not at work he enjoys gaming and catching up with his family.
Matt Goodwin
Fabricator
Matt is a member of the fabrication team, he’s our organisation champion and Health & Safety representative in the workshop. Matt works creating your handrails with the team, you might catch him on site installing or conducting a very thorough site visit. When Matt’s not working he’s entertaining his two children and spending time with family and friends.
Sam Nock
Fabricator
Sam is a long-serving member of the handrail team, he’s one of our fabricators who has years of experience and an artistic flair. You may meet Sam when your handrail is being installed or on a site visit. When Sam isn’t at work he spends his time designing and creating metal sculptures and gaming.
