If the sun is out there’s the added bonus of a Vitamin D boost – a vital nutrient to keep bones and muscles healthy. It can also contribute to maintaining healthy blood pressure, thus reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.

It’s always good to remember the following:

  • Wear a hat and sunscreen to protect from harmful UV rays
  • Have a pair of gloves to protect fragile skin
  • Stay hydrated!
  • Take regular breaks to spend some time in the shade
  • Have insect repellent handy to ward off mosquitos and any other unwanted insect friends
